“I was dealing with a lot of stress and anxiety whilst on placement in a hospital that would send me into almost daily panic attacks; trying to cope with this and the aftermath of a traumatic incident that occurred earlier in the year; I felt I had no control over my emotions and an irrational fear of almost any situation that had the potential to ‘go wrong’. I’d never heard of or tried hypnotherapy until my mum recommended Wendy. Very soon into my time with Wendy I noticed a rapid change in my behaviour, by the end of my sessions I found I had a much better control of my emotions was able to put things into perspective and gained confidence in myself as well.
I would absolutely recommend Wendy to anybody struggling with stress, anxiety, depression etc.

“I first consulted Wendy for Hypnotherapy with stress and anxiety problems. Initially, I had weekly sessions and later monthly which I continue to have. Wendy is professional and skilful and I cannot overstate the help she has and continues to give me. There has been an amazing transformation in my wellbeing during the last year. I now feel more relaxed and most importantly do not over worry about things, as I have done for many years.
My only regret is that I waited so long to have Hypnotherapy, I should have done it years ago.”

“I was becoming increasingly worried and concerned about my GCSE’s. This led to me not being able to concentrate or relax. Wendy helped me to deal with this by giving me several different techniques to calm me down and relax, which I was to use during and before my exams. I think they really helped as after the hypnosis I felt much less stressed about my exams and was able to concentrate fully.”

“I went to see Wendy after experiencing high levels of anxiety about visiting certain places. This was stopping me doing some of the things I needed to do for work, and that I wanted to do with my family. Wendy spent time fully exploring my feelings and then used a number of techniques to help me tackle the root causes of my anxiety. She also taught me some excellent coping strategies. Over a series of three or so sessions, coupled with some extremely useful recorded audio sessions to listen to at home (e.g. using Word Weaving), I have made huge progress with my anxiety. Wendy’s calm approach put me instantly at ease, and she explained everything in full so that I had a good understanding of the way my thoughts and emotions were interacting together, and how to control these. I would fully recommend Wendy to others.”
Paula (Anxiety)
“Before seeing Wendy, I was having anxiety attacks in social places, specifically on the bus, in shops and in my lecture room at university. At the time of these attacks I would feel nauseous and dizzy, making me fear being sick in public. This became a cycle of fear and I began avoiding these situations, not going out if I could help it. At this point, I decided to see help and began to look into hypnotherapy.
My first appointment already helped me to relax, even before we began the deeper work. Just by talking through my fears and Wendy giving me a simple relaxation tool, I could cope on the bus again. From here we were able to work through my fear of sickness and I was able to understand why it was happening and how I could calm myself down. Between each session my general anxiety would drop and week by week I could see myself becoming more light-hearted with a happier outlook on life.
Now, I am able to travel on the bus without fear, visit shops and attend my lessons confidently rather than worrying about my anxiety. Though my sessions have finished, I am still receiving support by listening to audio recordings from our previous sessions to help me relax and cement all the work we had put in. Thanks to Wendy, I am steadily becoming the person I want to be and used to be before the anxiety took over.”

“I was dealing with a lot of stress at work and as a result began to have anxiety attacks. I was constantly on edge and even the simplest of tasks became challenging. I felt as though I could not cope and became very emotional. I’d never tried hypnotherapy before but was recommended to Wendy by a friend. After just one session I noticed a significant change within myself and in my way of thinking. Through the use of hypnotherapy my mind become more clear and I could focus on life with a ‘can do’ attitude. I would recommend hypnotherapy to anybody who is struggling with stress. Through just a few sessions Wendy has given me a strength that continues to guide me in my everyday life.”
Laura (Work Stress & Anxiety Attacks)
“Wendy from the start took the time to get to know me and to understand what I wanted from our sessions. This I found really important. As someone very sceptical about hypnotherapy I was amazed by how at ease Wendy made me feel and how easily I could relax with her. This was because of her patience and explanations regarding the hypnotherapy. My particular phobia (wasps) was complicated by other issues but Wendy easily found her way around it all. I relaxed completely in the first session which meant it flew by and I so looked forward to my follow-up sessions. After several sessions I had gone from a person who could not be in the same room as a wasp to someone who could brush them away without screaming! I am now a completely different person around them and this has ensured I have not passed on my phobia to my children. Something I was concerned about. I have also had further hypnotherapy to aid relaxation and wellbeing during times of work pressures because it made me feel so good.
I would have no hesitation in recommending Wendy.”

“I felt very at ease and was pleased at how effective it was and how quickly it worked.”

“I wanted to drop you a quick note to let you know I have just returned (successfully) from my trip to Germany. I had some slight anxiety beforehand about how I would react when I got on the plane rather the flight itself, but my new-found confidence soon overcame this when I used the techniques, you’d shown me. During the flights themselves, I was completely comfortable and although I avoided looking out of the window on the outbound flight, I quite happily managed it on the way back. The view from above the clouds in the sunshine and the approach to London in the dark were both quite spectacular, something I never would have dreamed of enjoying a few months ago.
I’d like to thank you again for the amazing work you have done to help me overcome this phobia – in just a few sessions I have transformed into a completely unrecognisable person compared to my last attempt to board a plane. I genuinely thought I would be someone who couldn’t be ‘cured’ but at the risk of sounding clichéd, this has quite literally changed my life. Not being able to fly would have seriously affected my job as frequent travel to Europe and the US will be necessary in the future, and more importantly, I will now be able to holiday in more exotic destinations than a car would allow, much to my wife’s delight. I can’t recommend you highly enough and would love to talk to any sceptics out there considering hypnotherapy.”
