EVIDENCE BASED

In 2000 Trevor Silvester started the worlds first Cognitive Hypnotherapy School, The Quest Institute. In 2011 a group of Quest Trained Cognitive Hypnotherapists and their clients took part in a unique research project.

Clients with anxiety and depression were assessed using the same outcome measures currently used to assess the effectiveness of talking therapies, such as Counselling and CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy) within the NHS.

When this pilot study was published in the Mental Health Review Journal in 2015 it recorded that…

Using 118 cases measuring the effectiveness of Cognitive Hypnotherapy for the treatment of depression and anxiety

Considered themselves recovered after an average of 4 sessions, compared with...

42% for other approaches using the same measures (like CBT)

This research demonstrates how robust this approach is.
